MLS explanation: MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) is used in high-performance cylinder head gasket applications. It consists of multiple uniquely designed and riveted layers of steel, on the outer surface of the gasket for ease of installation, and provides high-performance sealing. MLS head gaskets eliminate the use of guide pin O-rings.
RCM explanation: RCM (Rubber Coated Metal) gaskets consist of a .020" thick spring stainless steel base covered with .001" thick heat-resistant Viton rubber on both sides and a silicone bead. A very strong gasket requiring no re-tightening.
