Suitable for cams up to 0.700" lift; check clearance with high-performance cams. Weight: 143 grams each. Jims Powerglide™ lifters offer superior hydraulic operation compared to OEM-style units, with a forged steel body, hand-honed hydraulic cavity and oil-fed axle. For maximum power, you need zero lash in the valves and to eliminate hydraulic element collapse, as occurs in the OEM unit, also known as 'shock absorber syndrome'. Failure to keep the valve open through its full travel results in power loss. Jims Powerglide™ lifters come as close as possible to a solid lifter, yet can still compensate for thermal expansion. They work well even with solid-style camshafts. Fits as a larger-diameter upgrade to replace OEM part 18526-89.
