JIMS, primary lock bar

A primary locking bar is key to locking the primary drive system on Harley-Davidson® motorcycles. JIMS® locking bars are made from aerospace-grade steel and black oxide plated for corrosion resistance. The bar length is designed for a solid engagement between the engine compensator sprocket and the clutch sprocket. Locking the primary drive is necessary for a wide range of maintenance jobs, including changing or removing the compensator nut, replacing the primary chain, adjusting chain tension, replacing the stator, removing the clutch hub nut and general clutch maintenance.
