K&N RK series air filter assemblies are true discreet air filters, as the original air filter cover is reused. The power increase is achieved by replacing the original filter and backing plate. A special K&N powder-coated aluminium backing plate, with a velocity nozzle tuned on the Dyno, is required to house the larger K&N air filter element. The integrated breathers replace the original external breathers. Careful design allowed the original air filter cover to be refitted to maintain a stock look without modifications.
Includes a complete high flow kit with the back plate-filter combination, mounting hardware and a chrome-plated plastic trim ring with engraved 'K&N' and 'High Flow' inscriptions. Includes installation hardware.
Note 1: Reuse the chrome OEM oval air filter cover.
Note 2: Does not fit in combination with the OEM round air filter covers.
Note 3: The extra wide element does not fit fully under the original cover.
Note 4: Does not fit 99-01 FLT/Touring models with the Magneti-Marelli fuel injection system.
Note 5: See X-wide kit 900336. Or see 900337 for the extra wide filter element (57 mm high instead of 44 mm) to convert this 900311 air filter assembly, complete with offset spacers, for greater air flow.
