Mikuni HS40 smoothbore carburettor kit - 40 mm

These top-quality carburettors are available to customise most models. The HS40 is easy to install and will improve starting, general engine behaviour, power and torque, in any condition, whether on the street, on Touring, and even in competition. Features include a lightweight, compact design, a high-flow 40mm Smoothbore venturi, and an adjustable accelerator pump, for excellent throttle response. This results in fuel savings and increased power and torque, from idle to full throttle, on both stock and modified engines. The Smoothbore carburettor comes with the air cable. Throttle cables, manifold, adaptors, brackets and the air filter must be ordered separately. On models with head breathing, breather kit ZPN 232224 must be used. 
Note: On latest generation models with CV carburettor (Sportster 1988-2006 & Big Twin 1990-2000) a carburettor adapter (ZPN 232196) must be used. On models from 1996 onwards, latest generation cables must be used or the 1995 throttle assembly must be used. The main and pilot jets are the same as those for Mikuni HSR42, 45 and 48 carburettors.
