The Dyna S is fully housed behind the ignition cover and uses a magnetic rotor with the original advance unit, thereby retaining the factory ignition advance.
The coils provide spark voltages exceeding 30,000 V and unsurpassable spark energy.

The most recent models require the use of a mechanical ignition advance unit.
Except for fuel-injected models.
The Dyna S DSK62 system and coil are designed for single-fire applications; includes two Dyna DC10-1 coils.
