Rick's fat rear kit for the Milwaukee Eight Softail

Gone are the days of relocating the gearbox and primary drive, right-side drive gearboxes, chassis modifications, welding work and any other unpleasant jobs associated with 300mm tyres on original chassis. With Rick's new "Wide Tyre Kit" for Milwaukee Eight Softail, the swingarm fits the original chassis and even a 360mm tyre stays centred. Power transmission is via an intermediate shaft located at the swingarm pivot point. As a result, the engine and gearbox remain as one unit, less strain is created and the suspension forces do not affect the belt. Since the primary drive remains in its original location, there is no need to reposition the footrests and ground clearance and lean angle remain the same as standard. For ease of assembly, the swingarm is prepared for various options (transmission-side brake, original brake caliper, side-mount number plate) and has a polished black plastic coating (matte black option available). Rick's wheels for use with these kits are supplied with special bushings for this kit so that the wheel stays centred. With the different versions for the various chassis and Softail models, care was taken to retain the original transmission.
