Zodiac "Deluxe" 250 swingarm kit for Softail - 1991-2006, basic

Converting your Softail to a wide rear tyre has never been easier with Zodiac wide tyre kits. Now, with the DeLuxe swingarm kits at highly competitive prices, it is even simpler. These kits bolt directly onto the chassis of your original Softail from 1991 onwards, allowing the installation of a 250mm wide rear tyre on an 8.50" wide rim. These comprehensive kits include all necessary parts to offset the primary drive, enabling the engine and gearbox to retain their original position. Only the complete primary drive is offset using the extended main shaft included with the gearbox and the main drive sprocket. The only "modification" required on the original chassis is cutting off the existing mudguard supports and replacing them with the chrome aluminium ones included. The kits are compatible with original rear brake calipers and include a black swingarm, 3/4" diameter chrome rear axle, black axle caps, black platform spacer, stainless steel splash guard, chrome belt guard, swingarm pivot bearings, raw steel rear mudguard, aluminium mudguard supports, aluminium primary spacers, sprocket shaft extension, extended transmission main shaft, extended main drive transmission sprocket, starter shaft extension, and all necessary bolts, washers, and seals. The kits are designed for use with a belt drive unit or a 20mm narrow final drive chain. Due to the wide variety of wheel designs, the wheel and tyre must be ordered separately. Use with a 18x8.5" rear wheel for a 3/4" wheel axle, such as PM wheels with code 1274F.
 
 Note: For 1991-1993 models, a late-style 5th gear layshaft, ZPN237074, is required (sold separately).
 
 Note: Installation on models from 2008 requires modification of the rear brake caliper and checking the distance between the swingarm and the frame.
