Wide swingarm kits for Softail Twin Cam - 25mm wheel axle L=410 mm incl. spacer

Due to the construction of the engine and transmission assembly on Twin Cam Softail models, it is not possible to offset the transmission to make room for 200 or larger tyres. The wide and extra-wide swingarm kits allow you to fit tyres up to 250 on your Softail chassis. The wide tyre kit accepts 200 tyres on a 6 1/2" rim using the original wide belt. The extra-wide swingarm accommodates 240 and 250 wide tyres on an 8" or 8 1/2" wide rim with the original width belt on models up to 2013. All 2014 and later models require the use of a 20 mm final drive belt. The kit contains a swingarm with wheel axle and all parts needed to offset the primary, and a caliper bracket that lets you use the original rear caliper. For 230 tyres on 15" steel rims, a minor modification to the OEM brake caliper may be necessary; 15" cast or solid wheels require the use of a bespoke rear caliper and a 10" brake rotor. Belt guard tabs are welded in place. Due to the variety of wheels, mudguards, mudguard brackets and wheel spacers, these are not included. 
 
 Note: The kit for 2012-2013 models also fits 2008-2011 models equipped with an OEM Screamin' Eagle compensator 40274-08 or 40274-08A. These have only 1 thrust washer between the sprocket and the sprocket retainer. The kit for 2014 to current models also fits 2008-2013 models equipped with an OEM Screamin' Eagle compensator 36500034A, 40100061, 4220064A or 42200095A. These have a thrust needle bearing and 2 washers between the sprocket and the sprocket retainer.
