Barnett is riding the crest of the wave of the future with the development of these long-lasting "Kevlar K96 Series" clutch kits. Testing indicates that Barnett "Series-K9-6" clutches, which are asbestos-free, last up to 12 times longer than clutches containing asbestos and up to 3 times longer than semi-metallic plates. These kits have been designed as stock replacements, for use with either stock or Barnett separator plates. The compound used in the 'Series-K96' Kevlar plates is highly oil-resistant and can be used in semi-wet conditions in a closed primary or dry. Incidentally, some primary chain oil does not affect clutch operation.
