Manganese bronze is softer and less durable than C630 bearing bronze, but allows for lower cost, and custom reaming is quick and easy, with finishing possible using simple tools such as a ball hone and an electric drill. Rapid heat transfer and good lubricity.
Note: Special manganese reamers and hongs are available.
