Manganese bronze is softer and less durable than C630 bearing bronze, but allows for lower cost and custom re-lapping is quick and easy. Finishing can be done with simple tools such as a spherical honing stone and an electric drill. Fast heat transfer and excellent lubricity.
Note: Standard dimensions without oversize (for reference only) are: 0.5650" O.D. (14.35mm); 0.3760" I.D. (9.55mm); 1.880" O.A.L. (47.75mm).
Note: Reamers and special spherical grinding stones for manganese are available.
