Kraus, RTX8 radial brake caliper. Left. Black

The RTX8 brake caliper from Kraus is designed for sustained high-performance braking, with a five-bolt design that maximises stability under load. Built for prolonged use, its two-piece construction incorporates a finned backing plate to improve heat dissipation, whilst four stainless steel pistons regulate thermal transfer to keep brake fluid temperatures stable. Upgrading to radial brake calipers requires a radial caliper mounting bracket. These are available separately for a straightforward transition. Kraus or Öhlins inverted fork kits with 108 mm radial caliper mounting allow direct installation.
Compatible with ABS, correct?
- Includes Kraus RT-S sintered street brake pads - Kraus performance and competition pads available as an option - Better feel at the lever - Strong, consistent braking - Competition caliper homologated for road use - Two-piece finned caliper design for optimal heat dissipation - Competition-grade CNC-machined aluminium alloy - Lightweight at 748 grams, 27% lighter than stock - Pre-bled* for easy installation - Easy adaptation to different disc sizes with optional stackable caliper spacers *Note: A final bleeding procedure is required for optimal performance.
Each caliper is pre-bled internally, although a final bleed check is still necessary. Kraus fitted an external bleed nipple and a banjo outlet, making bleeding and installation easier whilst allowing the fluid to circulate fully through the caliper.
Note: Installation hardware is not included. See 985741 for the G5 titanium radial caliper hardware kit.
Note: See 984634 (each) or 993412 (pair) for the Kraus radial caliper front mounting bracket.
Note: For replacement or optional brake pads, see 706428 RT-S for street, 706429 RT-P performance or 706430 RT-R racing.
