The addition of cobalt gives them extremely high hardness, enabling them to cut alloy steels and difficult-to-machine steels such as stainless steel. Full sharpening during the manufacturing process results in a very sharp, high-precision drill bit. The precise split point ensures self-centring and vibration-free drilling.
