The 5% Cobalt HSS metal drill bits are manufactured from alloyed high-speed steel. The addition of cobalt provides extremely high hardness, enabling the cutting of alloy steels and difficult-to-machine steels such as stainless steel. Full sharpening during the manufacturing process results in a very sharp, high-precision drill bit. The precise split point ensures self-centring and allows vibration-free drilling. When used in conjunction with cutting oil, this yields a very long tool life. Highly suitable for use on alloy steels and difficult-to-cut steels such as stainless steel.
