The 5% Cobalt HSS metal drill bits are manufactured from alloyed high-speed steel. The addition of cobalt imparts extremely high hardness to the drill bits, enabling them to cut steel types that would otherwise be difficult to machine. Full grinding during the production process results in a very sharp, high-precision drill bit. The precise split point ensures self-centring and vibration-free hole drilling. When used in conjunction with cutting oil, this results in a significantly extended tool life. Highly suitable for use on alloy steels and difficult-to-cut steels such as stainless steel.
