With helical flute for metal chip evacuation during drilling.
Fully ground HSS step drills, manufactured from high-speed steel. Full grinding during the production process ensures a very sharp drill with excellent precision. The precise split point guarantees self-centring and allows drilling without vibration. The step drill also deburrs in a single operation. The addition of a helical flute enables better metal chip evacuation during drilling. The use of cutting oil is recommended for a very long tool life. The triangular shank optimises grip in the chuck and prevents the drill from slipping. Highly suitable for use on plastics and non-alloy rolled steels up to 3mm thick. Frequently used on cable trays and body panels. Also suitable for enlarging existing holes.
