Fully ground HSS step drills, manufactured from high-speed steel. Full grinding during the production process ensures a very sharp drill with excellent precision. The precise split point guarantees self-centring and vibration-free drilling. The step drill also deburrs in a single operation. A slot is added to facilitate better chip removal during drilling. Cutting oil is recommended for extended tool life. The triangular shank optimises grip in the chuck and prevents the drill from slipping. Highly suitable for use on plastics and cold-rolled, non-alloy steels up to 3 mm. Commonly used in cable trays and body panels. Also suitable for enlarging existing holes.
