Advantages: The organic friction material offers very predictable braking power, less noise and is very friendly to brake discs due to the softer materials (such as aramid) that help prevent disc grabbing, and is lower in price. An excellent and reliable all-round cruiser brake pad.
Disadvantages: They engage more slowly in wet conditions and are prone to 'glazing' when overheated. They also last less long than sintered pads and produce more brake dust.
