This is an OEM-style replacement for the oil filter, updated by H-D in 2020. This filter features a longer body (the old one measures 89mm/3.5", the new one measures 102mm/4") and retains 25% more filter media surface to better cope with the increased oil flow in M8 engines. The 5-micron filter media is identical to that of the previous filter 63798-99A (chrome) and 63731-99A (black) that it replaces. The old filter is still recommended for Twin Cam models; this later, longer-bodied filter is recommended for all M8 engines.Specifications
