Note before installation: Never start the engine before fully charging the new battery, to avoid irreversible damage that will shorten its service life. It is mandatory to fully charge any new AGM battery before installation. AGM batteries are activated at the factory and slowly discharge during storage. Recharge at least every 3 months. Recharging sooner may be necessary at higher or lower temperatures. The vehicle's electronics, such as the clock, alarm, etc., will additionally drain the installed battery. AGM batteries do not tolerate deep discharges well. Keep it charged to a minimum of 12.4 V for best performance throughout its service life. Connect the battery to a suitable automatic maintenance charger when not in use for an extended period to preserve the optimum charge level.
