Oil is the lifeblood of an engine, especially in high-revving motorcycle engines. Paying for premium filters is well worth it when you consider the components that make up an oil filter and the result of a filter failure. Not the place to save a few pounds!
MIW oil filters are manufactured with the vision of providing the highest standards required by modern motorcycles. The filtration method is resin-impregnated microporous paper. Using high-quality cotton linter fibre to deliver unmatched durability during filtration. The cotton linter element is composed of fibre strands of different thicknesses. With thicker strands on the outer wall of the filter to trap larger metal particles, and finer strands forming the inner wall, trapping even the smallest particles. The multi-thread microfibres provide excellent porosity for oil flow, even after contamination.
Premium oil filters offer many advantages, including:
- A 20% thicker base provides greater thread strength, easier thread engagement, positive internal element support and constant gasket compression.
- The rigid element brackets withstand vibration and high and low temperatures. They do not deform under the constant pressure of the spring load.
- Heavy-duty centre tubes and cans that can withstand exposure to a wide range of flow and pressure.
- High-tech media and other technological improvements giving MIW premium filters an advantage over AM and OE filters.
