Installation recommendation notes:
When applying wheel weights, the wheel must be clean, dry, free of solvents and oils, and at a minimum temperature. Motion Pro recommends using a water-based cleaner such as Formula 409 to remove grease and dirt, then wiping the wheel down with isopropyl alcohol to ensure a clean, dry surface for applying the wheel weights. The minimum temperature for applying wheel weights must be at least 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Some solvents and contact cleaners can leave residues that prevent the wheel weights from adhering properly. Old adhesive can be easily removed with a citrus-based solvent; do not use products such as WD40 to remove old adhesive, as they will leave a significant oily residue that will prevent proper adhesion. Temperatures below 60 degrees F will not allow the wheel weights to adhere properly, and bear in mind that any solvent used will evaporate more slowly at low temperatures, so allow more time when cleaning wheels at low temperatures.
