High-quality alternative to OEM starter motors
Many OEM starter motors have an unprotected output needle bearing on the outside of the shaft seal; moisture can enter the electric motor's output cover and travel along the armature shaft to the needle bearing, causing corrosion.
Rick's incorporates a double-sealed ball bearing, with the output shaft seal on the outside of the bearing in its new aftermarket unit.
This engineering solution protects the outer bearing from water ingress and allows replacement of the sealed ball bearing.
