Reproduction of the original Prestolite starter motor, commonly known as "long type". These reproductions are fully assembled with new, high-quality parts. 
Note: Hitachi and Prestolite starter motors and spare parts are interchangeable. Always check the type of starter motor used on your Harley before ordering. An original Hitachi starter has an 80mm diameter, a 145mm case length and two #10-24 UNF through bolts. An original Prestolite starter has a 70mm diameter, a 173mm case length and two 1/4-20 UNC through bolts.
