S&S P-series engines - 93"

S&S present a P-style engine that boasts a genuine retro appearance, yet incorporates modern, up-to-date technology. The Panhead engine, produced from 1948–1965, has been acclaimed as the most beautiful classic engine of all time. The new S&S P-series engines capture the retro style of the 1950s and 1960s, but with 21st-century engineering. Please note that although these engines resemble their predecessors, they are not replicas. These engines are designed to run! For custom retro applications, an alternator/generator version is available that fits any original or custom Shovelhead or Evolution Big Twin chassis from 1970–1999. The high-compression 93" and 103" engines come standard with dual-spark plug cylinder heads. The 93" engine fits almost all original-style chassis. The 103" engine is 0.300" taller than the original engine and will not fit an unmodified original chassis. Although the S&S P-series engines have a very attractive classic aesthetic, they are primarily designed to deliver performance and reliability. The engines come equipped with S&S Super Stock ignition, an S&S Teardrop air filter, and an S&S Super E carburettor; the 103CI models come with an S&S Super G carburettor. There are many advantages to using readily available, modern components. Beyond performance improvements, the ability to source high-quality replacement parts is excellent! The satisfying burst of speed from a large-displacement engine and a noise-free valve train are great, but the ability to repair your motorcycle without hunting for obsolete parts makes it even better. The easy availability of replacement parts could be the difference between leaving your bike in the garage and riding it every day. As we have said, these engines were built to run!
