S&S T-series Long Block engines

S&S T-Series Long Blocks are ideal and do not come with a fuel or ignition system. Perfect for riders who already have a high-performance ignition and carburettor or an EFI throttle body and tuner. Since the heads are machined to accommodate original-size manifolds and breather systems, an air filter, carburettor or throttle body that fits a stock engine will fit your new S&S engine. So if you have already added a high-performance carburettor or an EFI throttle body and tuner to your stock engine, you can use them on your new engine. A carburettor or throttle body that fits a stock engine fits the new S&S engine because the heads are machined to compensate for the increased cylinder length, so an original-length manifold will fit. If you have installed a high-performance ignition or an EFI tuner, you can use them. S&S is also introducing the T124LC engine, which has slightly lower compression and a shorter-duration camshaft set. This engine is ideal for heavy vehicles such as baggers and trikes when fully loaded. The low compression makes the T124LC more resistant to knock and detonation, promoting better engine life and greater reliability. T-Series engines are available as the T111-111CI, the perfect sport-touring engine; the T124-124CI, a hot-rod performance engine with 640 Easy Start Cams; and the T124LC-124CI with slightly lower compression and 585 Easy Start Cams. Available in Silver and Black Wrinkle finishes. S&S T-Series engines feature specially machined heads to fit original-length intake manifolds and an original-style breather system with original gas separation, compatible with most stock and performance air filters. T-Series engines come with a high-flow oil pump cover and S&S and Easy Start cams. 
 
 ENGINE MANAGEMENT AND FUEL SYSTEMS
 The cylinder heads for T-series engines are of the 1999-2005 style. 2006 model owners will need to purchase a 1999-2005 style intake flange adapter kit. These are compatible with original length intake manifolds and throttle bodies, and original style air filter backplates will fit these engines. EFI engines from 1999-2001 equipped with Magneti Marelli fuel injection require a performance module, such as the DynoJet Power Commander 3 or the S&S VFI. The original dual-bore EFI throttle body is not suitable for T111 or T124 engines. The S&S 58mm single-bore EFI throttle body is highly recommended for maximum performance. EFI engines from 2002 onwards, equipped with Delphi fuel injection, require a performance tuner, such as the DynoJet Power Vision, ThunderMax, or S&S VFI module. The original single-bore throttle body cannot supply sufficient air for these large-displacement engines. A 58mm S&S throttle body is highly recommended for maximum performance. Carburettor engines require a performance ignition module allowing advance curve adjustments. The original ignition module is non-adjustable, and using the original module will likely damage the engine due to pinging from incorrect ignition timing. Performance carburettors are recommended for maximum performance. S&S Super E carburettors are ideal for T111 engines in touring applications, but a Super G will produce more power. S&S Super G carburettors are recommended for T111 engines in performance applications, and for T124 engines in all applications.
 
 Note: An oil line installation kit for your application must be ordered separately. The 2007-2016 Touring installation requires a small modification to the transmission case. An accessory drilling kit to make this easy is also available.
