This gel battery with AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) technology is an alternative to conventional and corresponding maintenance-free batteries. Thanks to the addition of silica to the acid, the liquid inside the battery turns into a gelatinous substance. Gel batteries are filled and activated at the factory. This makes them immediately ready to use straight off the shelf.
