Fuel tap, early style 16-39

Vintage nickel-plated replica of model 3601-16, an old H-D 16-39 petcock. Includes 1/8"-27 NPT connection for the fuel tank side and 1/2"-24 NPT for the fuel line side. Ideal for a period restoration.
Note: Fuel lines and adaptors not included.
Note: This is an early period reproduction, which proves that not everything was better in the past. By today's standards, it is a poor design. It tends to leak and achieving a tight seal is almost impossible. For the best possible seal, the use of valve grinding paste is recommended, followed by a finer toothpaste, and then sealed with grease. No warranty on this petcock.
