S&S sprockets for Delco Big Twin O.H.V 1936 to 1969 with dynamo crankcases

S&S has redesigned the sprockets that transmit crankshaft rotation to the ignition distributor (Delco), offering a sprocket set that meets today’s demands, using modern technology, materials, and heat treatments. The tooth profile of these sprockets differs from the originals, providing greater contact between the sprockets to reduce noise, and meshes with less backlash for more stable and consistent timing. Both the idler sprocket and the Delco sprocket feature a wider bush than the original, with two factory-fitted and reamed bearing bushes installed to ensure stable operation. This design eliminates the need for loose spacers, as required in the original design. The Delco sprocket has been narrowed to facilitate installation on camshafts with greater lobe separation and is available in two versions. The standard version rotates clockwise, as in the original system, and is designed as a direct replacement. The anti-clockwise version allows the builder to use certain aftermarket electronic ignition systems. The sprockets are manufactured to the highest precision and ground after heat treatment to eliminate any deformation caused by the manufacturing process. These S&S sprockets are also available as a complete kit for perfect restoration.
