Harrison "Billet" brake calipers - 4 + mounting kit F*ST00-07

Harrison Engineering was one of the first to develop 4- and 6-piston brake calipers for Harley-Davidson in 1986. Each dual-action caliper, both the 4-piston and 6-piston versions, is CNC-machined from solid blocks of aerospace-grade aluminium. To maintain minimal internal tolerances, the lightweight pistons are machined from low-expansion aluminium. The pistons are finished with hard anodising, giving them wear resistance equivalent to hardened steel. Harrison states that this makes them superior to any other caliper with only two pistons or with pistons of differing diameters. They are particularly effective in wet conditions, as the first set of pistons clears water from the disc, while the subsequent two or four can brake as if the disc were dry. This also prevents the initial pistons from slipping on the disc before suddenly engaging. They are truly progressive, with a direct and sensitive relationship between lever pressure and caliper force. These calipers combine an impeccable appearance with extraordinary braking power and are available for almost all Harley-Davidson models. Front calipers bolt directly onto the existing supports on the fork tubes, while rear calipers come with their own mounting bracket. Each caliper is supplied with a set of adjustment washers to position the caliper correctly over the disc, along with the fixing screws. Both front and rear calipers are available with 4 or 6 pistons and in polished or black finishes. Matching brake discs can be found in another section of this catalogue.
