These pistons are forged from 4032 alloy which has an 11% silicon content. The pistons are formed in a forging press and then fully machined. The combination of this alloy and the forging process allows the piston to flex under detonation or pre-ignition, giving the best resistance against breaking. Since 4032 alloy has a low expansion rate, but higher than Keith Black hypereutectic pistons, a piston 0.001" larger will be required for more wall clearance. The Keith Black forged alloy pistons are suitable for street and high-performance racing applications including high compression and bikes equipped with NOS. All pistons come with a Hastings piston ring set, piston pins and spiral-lock piston rings.
