Keeping up with the times, Performance Machine introduced its 'Vintage Caliper'. Contrary to its appearance, it is not a 2-piston caliper; it is designed to have a vintage style, but uses modern 4-piston engineering. It is a blend of technical excellence and aesthetic work of art. The 'Vintage Ribs' are in fact reinforcing ribs to reduce flexing, improving braking feel, control and helping cooling when temperatures rise. The bodies, or caliper halves, are CNC machined from a single-piece forged alloy billet, a far more homogeneous material offering a natural strength advantage over conventional cast calipers. As for the technical details, the PM Vintage not only does its job, it does it better.
