What are Progressive Suspension 'Heavy Duty' shocks?
If you are a light rider with a light passenger, the STD series is probably your best choice; Heavy Duty shocks will give a harsher ride. For large riders with a lot of luggage, Heavy Duty springs are the best choice. Heavy Duty is not better, it is different.
The use of Heavy Duty shock absorbers or springs is recommended on motorcycles operating at or near the manufacturer's maximum load for more than 50% of the time.
