PS, 309mm Series 465 single shock. High performance. No RAP

12.2" (309mm) -24mm shorter; Heavy Duty springs; Black anodised. Excellent replacement single rear shock absorber. Manufactured with a hard anodised black aluminium body, high-pressure nitrogen filled, with a large 46mm cylinder and deflective disc damping. Includes standard thread or RAP (Remote Adjustable Preload) located behind the passenger's left footpeg, for easy-access adjustments. Extension damping is adjustable in 5 positions. Available in stock, in standard, oversized and undersized lengths to suit the various lengths of the stock Softail models.
What are Progressive Suspension 'Heavy Duty' shocks?
If you are a light rider with a light passenger, STD Duty is probably your best option; the Heavy Duty shock absorbers will offer a firmer ride. For the Big riders with lots of luggage, Heavy Duty springs are the best choice. Heavy Duty is not better, it is different.
The use of Heavy Duty shock absorbers or springs is recommended on motorcycles operating at or near the manufacturer's maximum load for more than 50% of the time.
