PS 465 Series single rear shock absorber 321mm

12.6" (321mm) - 12mm lower; Standard springs; Black anodised. Excellent replacement individual rear shock. Manufactured with a hard anodised black aluminium body, high-pressure nitrogen filled, with a large 46mm cylinder and deflector disc damping. Includes standard thread or RAP (Remote Adjustable Pre-load) located behind the left passenger footpeg, for easily accessible adjustments. Extension damping is adjustable in 5 positions. Available in stock, standard, over-length and under-length versions to suit the various lengths of standard Softail models.
What are Progressive Suspension 'Heavy Duty' shocks?
If you are a light rider with a light passenger, the STD Duty is probably your best choice; Heavy Duty shocks will provide a harsher ride. For the big guys, Heavy Duty springs are the best choice. Heavy Duty is not better, it is different.
The use of Heavy Duty shock absorbers or springs is recommended on motorcycles operating at or near the manufacturer's maximum load for more than 50% of the time.
