13.1" (333mm) Standard length; Heavy Duty springs; Black anodised. Excellent single replacement rear shock absorber. Manufactured with a hard anodised black aluminium body, charged with high-pressure nitrogen, with a large 46mm diameter and deflector disc damping. Includes standard thread or RAP (Remote Adjustable Preload) located behind the passenger's left footpeg, for easy-access adjustments. Rebound damping is adjustable in 5 positions. Available in stock, in standard, over-length and under-length sizes to suit the various lengths of stock Softail models.
What are Progressive Suspension 'Heavy Duty' shocks?
If you are a light rider with a light passenger, the STD Duty is probably your best choice; Heavy Duty shocks will offer a harder ride. For big riders with a lot of luggage, Heavy Duty springs are the right choice. Heavy Duty is not better, it is different.
The use of Heavy Duty shock absorbers or springs is recommended on motorcycles operating at or near the manufacturer's maximum load for more than 50% of the time.
