PS, 343 mm single shock absorber, Series 465. High strength. No RAP

13.5" (343mm) +10mm longer; High-strength springs; Black anodised. Excellent single replacement rear shock. Manufactured with a hard anodised black aluminium body, high-pressure nitrogen filled, with a large 46mm diameter and deflector disc damping. Includes standard thread or RAP (Remote Adjustable Preload) located behind the passenger's left footpeg, for easy-access adjustments. Extension damping is 5-position adjustable. Available in stock, standard, over- and under-lengths to suit the various lengths of factory Softail models.
What are Progressive Suspension 'Heavy Duty' shocks?
If you are a light rider with a light passenger, the STD Duty is probably your best choice; the Heavy Duty shocks will provide a harder ride. For large riders with a lot of luggage, Heavy Duty springs are the best choice. Heavy Duty is not better, it is different.
The use of Heavy Duty shock absorbers or springs is recommended on motorcycles operating at or near the manufacturer's maximum load for more than 50% of the time.
