What is the difference between the 'STD Duty' (Standard Use), 'Heavy Duty' or 'Super Heavy Duty' shock absorbers from Progressive Suspension?
If you are a light rider with a light passenger, Standard Use is probably your best choice; Heavy Duty shocks would give a harsher ride. For larger riders with a lot of luggage, Heavy Duty springs are the best choice. Heavy Duty is not better, it is different.
Heavy Duty shocks or springs are recommended on motorcycles operated at or near the manufacturer's maximum load capacity more than 50% of the time. In short: Standard (suitable for combined rider and pillion weights up to 250 lbs / 113kg), Heavy Duty (250 lbs / 113kg to 350 lbs / 159kg) and Very Heavy Duty (350 lbs / 159kg and above).
