The best option in Progressive Suspension shock absorbers, ideal as a stock replacement. Steel double-wall body with nitrogen charge. Speed-sensitive multi-stage valving. Five-position cam-style preload adjustment.
Note: Black 412 shock absorbers may be supplied without the lower cover.
What are Progressive Suspension 'Heavy Duty' shocks?
If you are a light rider with a light passenger, the STD Duty series is probably your best choice; the Heavy Duty shocks will provide a firmer ride. For bigger riders with lots of luggage, the Heavy Duty springs are the best choice. Heavy Duty is not better, it is different.
The use of Heavy Duty shock absorbers or springs is recommended on motorcycles operating at or near the manufacturer's maximum load capacity for more than 50% of the time.
