Progressive Suspension's best value-for-money shock, ideal as a replacement for the original. Nitrogen-charged double wall steel body. Multi-stage speed-sensitive valving. Five-position cam-style preload adjustment.
Note: Black 412 shock absorbers may be supplied without the lower cover.
What are Progressive Suspension 'Heavy Duty' shocks?
If you are a light rider with a light passenger, the STD Duty series is probably your best option; Heavy Duty shocks will give a firmer ride. For large riders with a lot of luggage, Heavy Duty springs are the best option. Heavy Duty is not better, it is different.
The use of Heavy Duty shock absorbers or springs is recommended on motorcycles operating at or near the manufacturer's maximum load for more than 50% of the time.
