Silicone-based brake fluid. Offers a very high dry boiling point exceeding 260°C, is non-aggressive and safe for paint, plastic surfaces, clothing, etc. Silicone DOT 5 does not absorb water like conventional brake fluids. Therefore, the brake system must be 100% drained to prevent water pockets forming anywhere in the system, which could cause vapour lock and total brake failure. Silicone DOT 5 is not very resistant to foaming and is therefore not compatible with ABS or ASR systems. Silicone DOT 5 cannot be mixed with other brake fluids.
