Consists of the Tough-Claw rail clamp base, SHORT length double socket arm and universal spring loaded X-Grip cradle for phones. The spring loaded X-Grip cradle expands and contracts, allowing for a perfect custom fit for your tablet. Included are easy access grip knobs for quick insertion and release of your handheld device. The Tough-Claw rail clamp base is the perfect mounting base for quick and easy tool-less installation and removal on round, square or odd shaped rails and bars. The Tough-Claw can be clamped on rails from 0.625" to 1.5" outer diameter. Perfectly suited for mounting on the yoke of an aircraft, handlebars and seat posts of bicycles, kayak rails, roll bars and much more, the RAM Tough-Claw will soon become another essential RAM component in your collection of mounting options. The X-Grip includes a device tether recommended for outdoor applications. The cradle is compatible with handheld devices that will fit the dimensions listed below. It is important to verify the dimensions of your handheld device with a case/sleeve/skin when determining the overall size.
RAM Mounts - How does it work? A 3-piece system: 1 the mounting base, 2 the connecting arm, 3 the device holder.
- 1 the mounting base - Equipped with RAM's 1" diameter elastomer hard rubber socket ball. An easy-to-adjust, non-slip, vibration-damping connection. Various mounting base options available.
- 2 socket arm / connecting arm - A connecting arm with sockets that hold the rubber balls of the mounting base and phone mount, effectively connecting both parts while offering virtually infinite adjustment without tools.
- 3 Phone holder / X-Grip - An innovative spring system with rubber caps on the 'fingers' that will hold your phone. The X-Grip phone holder is equipped with RAM's elastomer hard rubber socket ball for a non-slip, vibration dampening mount to the socket arm.
