Regulator rectifier

Controls voltage on Harley-Davidson and Buell alternators, unlike other regulators that shunt to earth and generate higher current and temperature in the stator.
Cycle Electric rectifier regulators block current to control voltage; this reduces stator current, lowering temperature and resistance in the engine, achieving more efficient operation.
Before replacing the regulator, check the stator for short circuits to earth and adequate AC output. If the stator is faulty, it is recommended to upgrade the entire charging system (ref. 2112-1823).
