The people at Harrison have designed a range of racing disc brake rotors that provide the best braking power available, in combination with their calipers. These fully floating discs are able to withstand more heat and stress than one-piece rotors without warping. The outer rotor "floats" on stainless steel buttons, allowing it to expand when heated without stretching the centre. When the outer rotor cools to its original size, it relaxes back onto the buttons in its correct shape. The Harrison outer rotor is made of ductile iron steel, which has an excellent friction rating (like cast iron) but does not rust. To keep weight to a minimum, they use aerospace-quality 6082-T6 aluminium, CNC machined, for the centre of the disc. Harrison floating discs are available in stock size, 11 1/2" diameter, as well as 13" large-diameter racing-style front discs. Harrison discs are for riders who appreciate the best performance, best feel and best-looking brakes on the market.
