Made from a chromium stainless steel alloy and precision ground, the surface is induction hardened with a chromium content of 12-14% for optimum wear resistance characteristics to a full A1S1 # 420 stainless steel plate standard. The rotors are compatible with all types of disc brake pads including sintered metal, and the finish is polished to a mirror. The drilled rotors brake better in wet conditions, dissipate heat more efficiently, and reduce unsprung weight.
