Upgrades your stock 88" engine to 124" displacement. The kit includes stroke flywheels, big bore cylinder and flat-top piston kit offering a 10.8:1 compression ratio with the included 91cc high-flow cylinder heads. The Easy Start 640 gear cams provide the lift needed to let this engine breathe, but guarantee easy starting with the stock starter and battery.
Note 1: The stock crankcases must be machined to accept the 4-1/8" big bore cylinders. The kit adds .096" to the engine height.
Note 2: This will build a serious high-performance engine. It is therefore not compatible with the stock ignition and stock throttle bodies (too small). A large throttle body is recommended for better breathing, such as the S&S 58mm single-cylinder unit 558678. A high-performance ECU and tuning are required. Carburetted engines will require an ignition system with adjustable advance curves and a large carburettor, such as the S&S Super G or similar. The kits are machined to be compatible with stock-length manifolds.
Note 3: S&S recommends the JIMS crankcase bearing insert MCS 978519, for 03-17 Twin Cam models, to replace the stock roller bearing with the stronger old-style Timken bearing. See MCS 978517 for the required JIMS tool. The correct Timken bearing can be ordered as MCS 508960 / OEM 9028.
