S&S, 9:1CR piston kit with 3-1/2" bore. +.030"

High 9:1 compression ratio (53cc dome). Suitable as a direct replacement for Shovelhead 1340 (80") models with 3-1/2" bore and standard 4-1/4" stroke. These S&S forged pistons are made from an advanced alloy with skirt profiles, resulting in a quiet engine and greater durability, features previously only achievable with cast pistons. This is an excellent option for refreshing your stock 1340cc Shovelhead with a higher-compression piston. The pistons include wrist pin, pin retainers and piston rings.
Note: S&S piston fitting recommendations: Tight fit .0030" to .0035", loose fit .004" to .005".
Note: In all applications, the technician must be able to assess the suitability of the components in combination with the other engine components before installation. It is important that an expert mechanic carries out the installation and the necessary adjustments. The rider must follow standard running-in and riding procedures for rebuilt engines.
