Compatible with all 36-84 B.T. 3-5/8" Big Bore models with flywheels of 4-1/4" to 5" stroke and the correct 8-1/2" flywheel diameter. Note that 4-3/4" and 5" strokes require 8-1/4" small-diameter flywheels, all in combination with the appropriate cylinder length as indicated below. Advanced alloy and piston skirt profile are used for low noise and long engine life. Piston dome volume 30cc, piston deck height 1.260".
88" (4-1/4" stroke, 8-1/2" flywheel diameter, 8.5:1 compression ratio, 5.330" cylinder length).
93" (4-1/2" stroke, 8-1/2" flywheel diameter, 8.5:1 compression ratio, 5.405" cylinder length).
93" HC (4-1/2" stroke, 8-1/2" flywheel diameter, 9.1:1 compression ratio, 5.363" cylinder length).
96" (4-5/8" stroke, 8-1/2" flywheel diameter, 9.1:1 compression ratio, 5.440" cylinder length).
98" (4-3/4" stroke, 8-1/4" flywheel diameter, 8.9:1 compression ratio, 5.530" cylinder length).
103" (5" stroke, 8-1/4" flywheel diameter, 9.7:1 compression ratio, 5.630" cylinder length).
The pistons include wrist pins, pin retainers and piston rings.
Note: For a higher compression ratio, S&S recommends shortening the cylinders. Shortening the cylinder by .060" will produce an approximate 1 point increase in the compression ratio.
Note: In all applications, the technician must be able to judge the suitability of the components in combination with the other engine components before installation. It is important that a qualified mechanic installs and carries out the necessary adjustments. The rider must follow standard running-in and riding procedures for rebuilt engines.
