S&S, high-strength connecting rod L81-99

S&S Heavy Duty connecting rod assemblies have a stronger construction than stock. Made from impact forged 4140 chromoly steel. Designed to be used as Heavy Duty replacements for stock or modified engines. Complete with rod pin, pin nuts, Woodruff key, cages and rollers. Ready to install.
Note: With the spacer bushing installed, bored to the OEM diameter of 0.791" for L81-83 Shovelhead. For use on 84-99 Evo Big Twin models, the spacer bushing must be bored to the OEM size of 0.792".

Note: S&S connecting rods are suitable for strokes up to 5" inclusive. The connecting rod assemblies come complete with crankpin, nuts and a set of alloy cage-type crankpin bearings with 17 rollers. All S&S connecting rods are somewhat heavier than stock due to a more robust construction. Rebalancing of the flywheel is recommended. Rebalancing may involve additional work, but S&S decided not to sacrifice the strength of the connecting rods for convenience. All connecting rod lengths are the same as stock (7.440" centre to centre for Big Twin models).
